A choral work in progress in which bodies and voices mingle with movements, music and sounds. What if Mephistopheles had with him a band of witches on hand to demonstrate to a group of Sad that laughter is an experience of liberation and the highest form of human expression? A study which uses as main theme the story of Faust in the opera version of Arrigo Boito and touching authors like Shakespeare, Luigi Pulci, Aeschylus and the rules of the saints taken from some manuscripts of the fourth and fifth centuries d.c. All texts tell different ways and approaches (and most of the times opposites) the theme of the elevation of the spirit through the laughter.
In a world in which art should be in the community and stir the consciences, activating new paths of reasoning, is proof that being happy and laughing is not a sign of weakness, but the culmination of any human being who though suffering must always be able to recover.
